  • Schools Closed Friday, February 24th

    There will be NO SCHOOL Friday, February 24th. This will be a TRIBE Day. 


  • Chess Endowment Award Winner

    Congratulations to Dylan Hendrix who won a $1,000 endowment to Morehead State University this past weekend at the Quad D regional chess tournament.  Dylan finished first out of the seniors that were vying for the scholarship. 



  • MCHS Chess Qualifies for States

    Congratulations to the MCHS Chess team on finishing fourth in the Quad D regional tournament.  By finishing fourth, the team qualified for the state chess championship that will occur in March.  The team was coached by Brandon Richards and Casey Watkins.Chess Team

  • United States Presidential Scholars Program

    MCHS senior, Greyson Cox was selected as a candidate for the United States Presidential Scholars Program. Students for this program are chosen based on their accomplishment in several areas including academic, artistic success, leadership, and involvement in their school and community. Approximately 500 candidates are named semifinalists and their names and supporting materials are sent to the Commission for review.

  • The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLSA) Pennies for Patients Fundraiser

    During the month of January, MCHS FCCLA Chapter is participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program; a service-learning program that gives students the unique experience of working together to help raise awareness and funds in honor of thousands of children and adults fighting against blood cancers! We are asking that everyone (students, faculty, parents, alumni, etc.) at Montgomery County High School join in this effort of raising awareness and collecting funds to benefit the mission of LLS: to find cures for blood cancers and to improve the quality of life for patient and their families.
