  • Montgomery County Schools Will Receive Credit for Goodwill Donations

    Montgomery County Schools are in need of your help!  When donating to Goodwill, please mention that you are donating in the name of Montgomery County Schools.  The schools will receive credit for your donations and will be able to issue vouchers to families who need assistance with clothing.  Your help is greatly needed and appreciated.  If you have any questions, please contact your local resource center.

  • Honoring Our Military

    Veteran's Day at Mapleton this year was a memorable and meaningful program. Over a hundred members of our community attended the program along with students and staff of Mapleton Elementary.

    Third Grade students danced to a classic USO tune "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and performed a flag routine during the National Anthem. 


  • Yearbook Contest Winners

    Carley Compten and Ashlyn McCarty won this year's yearbook cover contest.  The theme "Heroes of Good Character" were beautifully illustrated by the girls.  Their work will be the covers of the yearbook sold in spring.  Mrs. Cockrell awarded both students with a Mapleton Sweatshirt for their great work!


  • Fall Beauty

    A very BIG Thank you to Becky Bigstaff at Montgomery County Greenhouse for donating  the outside fall decorations  for Mapleton. We truly appreciate your generosity in helping make Mapleton beautiful  for our staff and students.


  • MCHS SERVE Volunteer at Mapleton

    On 10/26 Montgomery County High School SERVE students volunteered in the Family Resource Center. The volunteers packed food donated by Mapleton’s students for the Weekend Backpack Program. Others also cut out angels for the community Angel Tree program.


    Thanks Diana, for sending so many students!  They were such a blessing.

  • Parenting Sessions

     Mapleton hosted their second Born Learning parent workshop on 10/26.  The session focused on building relationships with adults to help children learn. Jen Jenkins, Mapleton’s music teacher, helped the parents incorporate music to help building a relationship with their child.
