2014-15 Minority Candidate for Parent Members

    MCIS SBDM Council

    October 28, 2014, 2014

    Dear MCIS School parents:

I am delighted to introduce the minority parent candidate for the 2014-15 school council:

    Claudia Evans

My name is Claudia Evans. I am the mother of 1 child, Michael, a fifth grader.  I am passionate and proactive about education and strive to do what is best for our children and will NOT waiver on my beliefs.  I will do my best to be the voice of minority parents and try to help meet their needs.  It would be my pleasure to become the 2014-2015 minority parent representative on the site based decision making council at MCIS and I look forward to working with the parents and staff to make the school the best it can be for all children.

The election will be held October 28th, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM in the MCIS LOBBY. If you will have a child enrolled at MCIS, you are eligible to vote in this election. (This includes parents, step-parents, and foster parents. Legal guardians are also eligible to vote if the child lives in their home.) I urge every parent to participate in this important decision about the future of our children’s school.

Results will be announced on Friday, October 31st at 3:45 PM in the MCIS OFFICE and will be posted on the front door of the school and will be posted on the front door of the school. Please plan to be present for this important event.

Thank you for your interest in who leads our school. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the YSC.

  • Book Fair King & Queen!

MCIS recently help a bookfair which was themed “Enter the Kingdom of Books.”  Students were challenged to see how many AR points they could earn in one week (Sept 25-Oct 1).  The king and queen (top boy and girl point earners) were “crowned” and awarded $20 to spend at the bookfair.  Our king was Landon Cord-36 points, and our Queen was Kacie Allen-27.9 points.
