Adam Allison is a native of Paintsville Kentucky. In middle school, Adam performed with the Kentucky Opry, entertaining large audiences with comedy sketches and working alongside acclaimed country musicians and performers. Adam also competed in the KESDA state speech and drama competition, winning state champion titles in both elementary and later in high school.  Adam attended Johnson Central High School, was a 3 sport athlete and excelled in swimming, where he and his relay team broke numerous school records in swimming.  His junior and senior years, he graduated from the Kentucky Governors School for the Arts Program, as well as the Appalachian Media institute, where his group received the, ‘Coming up Taller Award’ presented by the first lady of the United States. 

Upon graduation, Adam accepted a presidential and talent scholarship from Point Park University, where he studied theater, film production, and discovered his love of teaching. 

Adam lived Los Angeles for ten years and was involved in numerous stage, film, and television networks from coast to coast in blockbuster films, episodic television shows, and worked on nationally acclaimed stage productions. 

Adam obtained his masters in education from the University of the Cumberlands in 2014, and was accepted into Johnson Central High School’s Hall of Fame in 2016. He was highlighted on Lex 18 News, ’Making A Difference’ in 2017, as the director of the Living Poet Society. He was featured on Fox 56 with Marvin Barlett’s ‘Spirit of the Bluegrass’ in 2018.  In 2019, Allison was a highlighted educator in Western Kentucky University’s Mountain Workshop documentary. Adam was also a recipient of Campbellsville University’s 34th annual Excellence in Teaching Award, for the 2019-2020 school year, sponsored by the Earl Aaron and the Ward, Cundiff, and Aaron Memorial Fund.

In Adam’s 8th year working at McNabb Middle School, he is a cocurricular teacher, the musical director, and the head coach of the Mock Trial team.
