Mrs Hamilton, a native of Harlan County, graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Music Education and received her Masters of Art in Education from University of the Cumberlands.  A lifelong lover of music, she has performed with the University of Louisville Opera Theatre, Kentucky Opera, and Opera Appalachia as well as the Collegiate Chorale and Cardinal Singers at U of L.  Her performance career has taken her to seventeen countries on three continents and fuels her passion for introducing students to the world through music. This is her thirteenth year of teaching choral music and her fourth at McNabb Middle School.  In her spare time she enjoys playing piano, painting, restoring old furniture, and spending time with her family.
