Welcome to 6th grade Science!

Hello! I am the new Science teacher at McNabb and I am so excited to be here! I am a mother of a 10 year old daughter the attends Northview Elementary, and have been married to my best friend for the last 13 years.  I have been teaching the last 5 years, and loving every minute of it!  Prior to McNabb I taught 11th grade Biology, Advanced Biology and international baccalaureate Biology at Tates Creek High School. Prior to teaching I spent my time in research and chemical labs, so I have many years of real world experience in the field of science.  I am ecstatic to begin this school year at McNabb.  I feel privileged and honored to work with all of my students,  each and every one of you!

This year our class will explore the world through scientific eyes! We will begin this year learning to think like a Scientist! We will move through the units listed below.

• Unit 2: Matter & Energy in Ecosystems

• Unit 3: Newton’s Laws Forces/Motion

• Unit 5: Properties of Matter

• Unit 6: Earth’s Changing Surface

• Unit 7: Weather & Climate
