Mrs. Holley is entering her 17th year in education and her 6th year as the Principal of Mount Sterling Elementary. Mrs. Holley has had experience in teaching at the elementary level in Nicholas and Montgomery counties and has served in an administrative role at McNabb Middle school prior to coming to MSE.

Mrs. Holley received both her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from Morehead State University. While at MSU, Mrs. Holley was a member of the Women’s Soccer team and several service organizations.

Mrs. Holley is very excited to begin her 6th year as the principal of MSE. MSE has accomplished some amazing things in the past few years and we are all looking forward to seeing what the future holds. MSE prides itself on being innovative and thinking outside the box. Mrs. Holley and her team plan to continue the focus on high levels of academic achievement and high expectations coupled with the overall development of children, through communication, visibility and accountability.  She believes that ALL students can learn at high levels and that no school can be successful without a strong relationship and commitment from the parents.

Mrs. Holley resides in Mount Sterling with her husband Brian and their 3 children, Liza, Chandler and Jack. She has two German Shorthaired Pointers named Sadie and Sam. In her free time, Mrs. Holley enjoys reading and traveling with her family. 


Assistant Principal: Tasha Ferrell 

 

Ms. Ferrell  is entering her 11th year in education and her 1st year as Assistant Principal of Mount Sterling Elementary.  Before becoming the Assistant Principal at Mount Sterling Elementary Ms. Ferrell was a High School Social Studies Teacher, Intervention Specialist, and Alternative Teacher.  

Ms. Ferrell  received her Bachelor's degree from Morehead State University in Secondary Education, Masters Degree in Education  from University of the Cumberlands, Rank 1 and Ed.S Degree from Asbury University. 

Ms. Ferrell  is excited to start her first year as Assistant Principal at MSE and looks forward to upholding the rich history and academic excellence that MSE offers. Ms. Ferrell and her daughters, Brooklyn and Kenley,  are excited about moving to Montgomery County and becoming part of this great community.  Ms. Ferrell enjoys spending time watching her two daughters play basketball and softball.
