SB128 Supplemental School Yr Program Request Form

Any student enrolled in a Kentucky public school in grades kindergarten through 12 during the 2020-2021 school year may request to use the 2021-2022 school year as a supplemental school year to retake or supplement the courses or grades the student has already taken.  Courses taken during the supplemental year must be those the student previously was enrolled in or bear a reasonable connection to previous courses to be supplementary in nature.  Due to these requirements, there will be limitations on the course offerings for students repeating grades 6-12. 

The supplemental school year applies only to the 2021-2022 school year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The supplemental school year is defined as the opportunity to retake the grade level and courses from the 2020-2021 school year during the 2021-2022 school year.

According to the law, all requests must be submitted by May 1, 2021 and then the Montgomery County Board of Education will have to decide to accept all requests or deny all requests by June 1, 2021.
