Returning to Montgomery County Schools

This website is designed to inform parents and staff of the plans for reopening our school campuses in August.

We will offer in-person classes with safety measures in place but will also provide the option for families to choose virtual learning if they do not feel comfortable sending their student(s) back to in-person instruction.  Please see the two options families can choose to the right side under "Links" for detailed information.

The Return to School Form distributed on July 23, 2020 will allow families to select between these two options for each student in their home. The form will be due by 8:00 pm on Monday, August 3. This will allow appropriate planning by the district based on responses. If you are unable to complete the form online or have questions, please call Central Office at (859) 497-8760.

We encourage everyone to take some time looking over this website and watch the virtual town hall meeting, prior to completing the return to school form.

The first day for in-person instruction for one group of students is Tuesday, August 25, 2020.  On that day, half of the in-person students will attend school and the other half will engage in distance learning from home (more info on what distance learning will look like on that day will come).  Students will be assigned to the different groups based upon household geographic location.  Read more about geographical maps and the road guide indicating which group students will be assigned.

If you would like more information about the SchoolsPLP platform the district will be using for virtual learning, watch the videos linked below:
