We are anticipating an exciting and successful school year for Montgomery County students and employees. The intent of this site is to provide students and their parents/guardians with the information they need to prepare to return to school, from school supply lists to registration information. The staff is working daily to complete details, so there will be frequent changes and updates to the information provided here, as it becomes available.
Thank you for being an important part of the Montgomery County School System.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 2019
FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL - MONDAY, AUGUST 26, 2019
Per the Kentucky Department of Education beginning August 2019, health units at Montgomery County Schools will no longer have over the counter medications available to students. Health units will have the following basic first aid supplies only: emergency eyewash, artificial tears, Vaseline, and aloe vera gel. Food items such as saltine crackers, lemon lime caffeine free pop, and peppermint hard/soft candy will also be available to help aid general discomfort.
Parents/guardians may bring in approved FDA over the counter medication such as acetaminophen/Tylenol, ibuprofen, Orajel, cough medication, etc. These medications must be in the original container with a written, signed consent to leave in the health unit if their child requires medication for acute or chronic illness such as a toothache, bronchitis, frequent headaches, or frequent heartburn/reflux.
All new and returning students will need to complete the Health Consent and Emergency Information forms.
