Superintendent
Dear Montgomery County School Families,
In just a short amount of time we will welcome all of our students and families back for our 2023-2024 school year. The first day for students is Thursday, August 17, 2023. On behalf of our entire Montgomery County School family, I want to say how excited we are to see to start the school year!
I cannot express how much we thank our entire school community (students, teachers, staff, parents, families, community members and partners) for your support of our students and schools. We cannot have a strong school system without a strong community and we cannot have a strong community without a strong school system. I believe that was shown time and time again during the pandemic.
Montgomery County Schools will continue to provide school supplies (except backpacks) for students using the federal relief funds relating to the pandemic. We hope that this is a helpful resource for our families during difficult times.
Montgomery County Schools will also continue to offer breakfast and lunch at no cost to ALL students at ALL schools. As a reminder, students are not allowed to charge when purchasing ala carte items. We encourage our families to use the My School Bucks on-line system to make on-line payments, check account balances, or receive an email notification when account balances fall below a certain amount. This system can be accessed at www.myschoolbucks.com. An App for My School Bucks can also be downloaded for use on mobile devices.

In closing, this school year promises to be a memorable one for many reasons. I encourage everyone to adopt a mindset that includes flexibility and being prepared for anything as we continue to fight our common enemy, this devastating COVID-19 virus.
