Voluntary Test to Stay Program

Last month the Montgomery County Board of Education approved a "Test to Stay" program.  This program is voluntary, and there is no cost to you. Under the program, entirely asymptomatic students and staff who have been told to quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19 in the school setting will have the option of testing the night before each school day during the length of quarantine in lieu of quarantining at home.

To take advantage of this initiative:

  • We request that staff members enroll themselves and parents/guardians enroll their children at http://ethosbacktoschool.com.
  • A student or staff member must be identified as a school-related direct contact. This will not include family contacts, sports, or other extracurricular activities.
  • Be entirely asymptomatic. (zero symptoms) • Quarantine when not at school.
  • A parent/guardian will be responsible for bringing the student to the testing site and staying with the student until their test results are received.
  • The testing site will be at the Clay Center from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday with Ethos Labs.
Bus Routes Dashboard

Like many school districts, MCS is experiencing a driver shortage due to various reasons related to the pandemic. While we are working through these challenges, we are still serving all of our bus stops. In order to prevent cancelling some of our routes, drivers are running multiple routes. There might be a delay in times that buses arrive to pick up or drop off students at their normal stops. A dashboard is now available at the link below. It will be updated every morning by 5:30 AM and every afternoon by 1:30 PM. Please note there are two tabs on the dashboard: (1) for AM routes and (2) for PM routes.

We appreciate the patience and grace from our families and community.

COVID-19 Case & Quarantine Live Dashboard

The Montgomery County Schools’ live COVID-19 Case and Quarantine Dashboard is now available at the link below.  As we are informed by the Montgomery County Health Department of either positive cases or contacts who have been quarantined amongst our students and staff, we will report those numbers using this dashboard.  The dashboard is updated automatically so the public can access this dashboard at any time.
