How to Apply
  • First Time Users
    • Once you have created your own account,  you can “Apply” for a position and begin completing an application. Be sure you click SUBMIT at the end of the application before the posting deadline. Otherwise, your application will not be considered. Your information will be saved allowing you to return at any time to submit additional applications. You will also receive a confirmation email that will confirm the submittal of your application. Please be sure to remember your Username and Password to apply for future postings.
  • Information to know before you begin to apply:
    • Depending on the position you are applying for, you will be asked to upload a copy of one or more of the following:

    • High School Diploma
    • College Transcript/s
    • Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA) score 
    • KY Teaching Certificate
    • Passed Praxis Scores
    • Alternate Route to Teaching Acceptance Letter
  • References
    When prompted please list at least three professional references. You will need to provide an email address for each reference.
  • Criminal Record Check
    Pursuant to KRS 160.380, every new hire must be fingerprinted and a State and/or Federal background check completed on the individual. Your employment will be contingent upon a background record free of any information which, in the opinion of the school district, would have an adverse effect on your ability to perform your assigned duties. Additionally, employment shall also be contingent on receipt of a letter from The Cabinet for Health and Family Services provided by the individual documenting that the individual does not have a substantiated finding of child abuse or neglect in records maintained by the Cabinet. These will be completed at cost to the new hire. 
    • KY Online Gateway (KOG) 
      Create an account and process Child Abuse or Neglect (CAN) payment and verification (DPP-156)

  • Substitute Teachers
    • Applicants may qualify to substitute teach without full teacher certification if they have 64+ college hours and a 2.5 or greater GPA. Substitutes that are at the Rank 4 or Rank 5 levels (no teaching certificate) are required to complete an emergency substitute certification(TC-4) request online annually.  
  • Paraeducator Assessment 
    • The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) federal legislation, along with school board policy, requires that any applicant for an instructional assistant position must have one of these credentials in order to be considered for employment:
            1.  Evidence of 48 college credit hours; or

            2. Successfully pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment with a score of 48/60.
